About Tom Hendrickson, DPT — In-Home Physical Therapist in Fairfield County, CT

The Person Behind the Practice
I'm a physical therapist who left the clinic model to do this work the way it should be done—with time, attention, and genuine investment in the people I work with.
About Tom
I graduated from Ithaca College in 2010 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Shortly after, I relocated to Raleigh, NC, where I began my career at an outpatient orthopedic and sports-focused clinic. After some time away from the Northeast, my wife and I decided to move back to Connecticut to be closer to family and friends. I continued practicing in an outpatient orthopedic setting and earned my Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 2014. Later, I transitioned to home care physical therapy, where I gained valuable experience working with patients managing both orthopedic and neurological conditions.
I have a deep passion for improving movement and helping patients unlock their full potential. Disillusioned with the constraints of the traditional medical model, I chose to create a practice where physical therapy is delivered the way it was meant to be—focused on the individual. This means one-on-one care with no distractions, no unnecessary processes, and no juggling multiple patients at once.
Outside of work, I enjoy all things related to boating, including sailing and spending time on the Sound with my wife and two kids. I've also developed a strong passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in recent years.
Three Things I Believe
Healing is holistic.
I treat people, not body parts.
Education beats dependence.
I'd rather teach you to fish.
Simple usually wins.
I'm skeptical of gimmicks and gadgets. Most of the time, what works is consistent effort applied to the right things.
